History

At the beginning of the new millennium in the Czech Republic, there were not many websites aimed at the gay community. That’s why I, on the 16th April 2001,  launched honilek.cz  Starting at grass roots level, we changed the way the gay community in the Czech republic could access gay themed sites. Since that day, we have posted lots of  information on life in the Czech republic and information specifically relating to events and venues for the gay community.  We have always had up to date information regarding  where to go on the gay scene in the towns and cities of CZ  (with opening times, etc). Honilek.cz is the longest established gay portal operating within the Czech Republic.

Present

In September 2009  E-Chameleon ( a web design company) developed new soft ware and web design for Honilek.cz  bringing our website, content and services, easily accessible to all.  We offer short term accommodation to foreign and domestic tourists, and related services (city tours, transport and we also provide feedback and reports on gay events within the Czech Republic) Another important change is the new concept of a constantly updated gay guide, offering detailed information on the gay scene in the Czech Republic. We also show you photo reports of various gay venues in the Czech Republic (including special events and parties). We are currently involved in preparing the third edition of our  gay map of Prague.

Future

Life they say never stands still and honilek.cz is no exception, we aim to continullay improve our pages and offers where and when we can. In the short term, we plan to attract more tourists  to Prague and create a pleasant environment for their holiday, in collaboration with other partners and the city of Prague.
